The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for inducing exercise-mimetic effects, and to a use of the same, wherein the pharmaceutical composition includes an 1-adrenaline receptor agonist or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. According to the 1-adrenaline receptor agonist of the present invention, the expression of p-AMPK, PPAR, andPGC-1 which play major roles of maintaining and adjusting in vivo energy metabolic activities is improved. Thus, a glucose absorbing rate into skeletal muscle cells is improved, and lipid cell differentiation and lipid accumulation are controlled. Also, abdominal fat amounts and weight are reduced, and metabolic disorders of mitochondria are adjusted. Moreover, inflammation reactions can be controlled. As a result, the present invention can be useful in preventing and treating disease (metabolic diseases, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory diseases) needing the activation of AMPK.
