The present invention relates to a structure and an apparatus for preventing horizontal movement of an upper structure of a bridge which prevent the upper structure of the bridge from being unnecessarily moved in a horizontal direction (a perpendicular direction) when a concrete box bridge having the upper structure with a cross-sectional area in the shape of a box is constructed by an incremental launching method (ILM). According to the present invention, the apparatus for preventing horizontal movement of an upper structure of a bridge comprises: a center guide member (1) which is a member having a collision contact surface and is joined and arranged in a state that the center guide member (1) comes in close contact with a lower side of a lower plate from the center of a width of the upper structure (100) in a horizontal direction; and a pair of horizontal stopper members (2) which have guide surfaces, are paired, are arranged to enable the guide surfaces to face each other to have a gap with a width in a horizontal direction of the center guide member or wider, and are fixated and installed on an upper side of a pier (200). When the upper structure (100) is extruded and located on an upper portion of the pier (200), the center guide member (1) is located in a gap between the horizontal stopper member (2) and the same. Therefore, when horizontal force is applied to the upper structure (100), horizontal movement of the upper structure (100) is prevented as the collision contact surface comes in contact with the guide surfaces.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
