STRUCTURE FOR PREVENTING SEPARATION OF FRONT PILLAR AND TETHER CLIP IN DEPLOYMENT OF CURTAIN AIRBAG

The present invention relates to a structure for preventing separation of a front pillar and a tether clip in deployment of a curtain airbag, which effectively prevents a phenomenon in which a front pillar escapes from a tether clip when a curtain airbag is deployed to solve the problem of threatening the safety of a passenger by the front pillar separated from the tether clip, thereby enhancing the safety and product reliability in the deployment of the curtain airbag. To this end, the present invention comprises: a tether clip which includes a vehicle body fixing clip fixed to a vehicle body and a pillar fixing clip fixed to the front pillar side and restricts a gap between the front pillar and the vehicle body within a certain limit when the airbag is deployed to prevent the front pillar from being completely separated from the vehicle body; and a front pillar which includes a tether assembly unit in which the pillar fixing clip of the tether clip is assembled and covers the curtain airbag not to be exposed to the outside at ordinary times. Moreover, an insertion groove, in which the pillar fixing clip is inserted and placed, is provided on the upper surface of the tether assembly unit equipped in the front pillar, and a protrusion, which prevents the separation of the tether clip by interfering with the pillar fixing clip when the tether clip is about to escape toward the entrance of the insertion groove in the tether assembly unit, is included on the front side of the insertion groove in the tether assembly unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
