The present invention relates to a method and apparatus to provide an artificial character having artificial intelligence having different levels in accordance with a game record of players in a game. According to a first aspect of the present invention, with respect to the method of providing an artificial character in a game comprising a plurality of stages where a team of plurality of characters fight against another team in a team-based match; the method comprises: a step of collecting the playing record of stages where a player team, including at least one player character, participated in playing; a step of calculating battle point which is information numerically indicating the game performance of respective players, based on the collected record; a step of calculating team point which is the battle point of a player team, based on the battle point respectively calculated for each player; a step of determining a level of artificial intelligence of at least one artificial character controlled by a program having an artificial intelligence, based on the team point; and a step of providing the artificial character team including at least one artificial character having the artificial intelligence level determined as above.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
