The present invention relates to an internet of things (IoT) smart home/building automation system for saving energy and power by a cloud service, and a control method thereof. The home/building automation system includes an analysis platform responsible for analyzing data, a service platform for managing services, a dashboard configured to display the status of the system, and a dashboard management module configured to manage the dashboard. The present invention completely cuts off the standby power which is wasted when a device is turned off, thereby reducing wasted power.
