The present invention relates to an SNP for adjusting the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig and the use thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to: a composition for determining the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid which comprises formulation to detect or amplify an SNP related to the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig; a kit containing the same; a method for determining the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig; a method for producing a pig with reduced fatty acid and increased unsaturated fatty acid; a method for reducing the content of saturated fatty acid and increasing the content of unsaturated fatty acid of a pig; and a marker and a microarray for determining the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig. The SNP marker capable of determining the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig of the present invention is used as a means for objectively determining the reduction of back fat thickness of a pig, which is not determined visually, and is expected to contribute to the establishment of a distribution order of pork.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
