The present invention relates to an electronic apparatus adaptively selecting TCP/R-UDP to secure reliability and a transmission speed at the same time, and a packet transmitting and receiving method thereof. The present invention can secure reliability and a transmission speed in data transmission at the same time by performing control to use a TCP connection method that can secure the reliability in basic data transmission and to use an R-UDP connection method that can secure the transmission speed. The electronic apparatus includes a data transmitting module which transmits data to a receiving apparatus with a packet unit, and a data receiving module which requests conversion from the TCP connection method to the R-UDP connection method if a data transmission speed of a TCP packet is slower than a set threshold value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
