The present invention relates to a method for generating a depth image by using color mapping and a camera structure for the same, wherein a signal is optically processed by using a structural lighting, and depth information of an object is extracted by color mapping so that not only depth of the object can be extracted in an easy manner by a non-contact method but also the depth of the object to be measured can be rapidly extracted by using an encoding module and a decoding module, which are optically configured, without additional computer calculation. According to the present invention, in the method for generating a depth image by using color mapping and a camera structure for the same, the camera structure for extracting depth information of an object by using a structural lighting comprises: the encoding module which separates a white light source in the shape of a spectrum and emits the spectrum in the direction of an object; and the decoding module which outputs, as depth information of the object, reflected light comprising a color which is reflected after reaching the object in the spectrum, which is emitted from the encoding module in the direction of an object.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
