A home demand response (DR) participation method performed in a home DR server includes the steps of: monitoring DR participation device information and environment information of a plurality of homes; receiving DR issuance information from an external server; selecting a plurality of DR participation homes based on the DR issuance information, and the DR participation device information and the environment information of the plurality of homes; determining DR participation scheduling of each DR participation home, and controlling DR participation of each DR participation home based on the DR participation scheduling.
