Provided are a gene capable of promoting biosynthesis of ursolic acid and oleanolic acid derived from Centella asiatica (L.) Urb., and a use thereof. The introduction of genes encoding synthetase for ursolic acid and oleanolic acid derived from Centella asiatica (L.) Urb. into plants enables production of plants containing ursolic acid and oleanolic acid. Additionally, the gene is effective in that mass-production of ursolic acid and oleanolic acid is possible by introducing the gene into microorganism.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
