The present invention relates to a device and a method for detecting rogue optical network terminal (ONT) based on a profile. The device for detecting rogue ONT based on a profile according to the present invention includes a measurement part for measuring a power value in an optical line terminal (OLT) for distributing optical data to a plurality of ONTs; a determination part for determining whether or not a rogue ONT is generated according to a level where a power value is included; and a detection part for checking each of the ONTs according to an inspection order when the power value is included in the level related to the generation of at least one rogue ONT, and detecting the identification number of the rogue ONT.
