An application processor in which core switching is performed according to modem data and a system-on-chip including the same are provided. The application processor includes a first core for processing first data per unit time, a second core for processing second data more than the first data per unit time, and a lookup table for determining whether to active any one of the first core and the second core by considering power provided from a communication processor or a sensing signal and an analysis result of a message signal received in the communication processor. Accordingly, the present invention can improve operation performance.
