The present invention relates to a TC1-deleted mouse having a phenotype of obesity and use thereof, more specifically, to a screening method for an anti-obesity agent and a preventive or therapeutic composition for metabolic diseases, which has an expression or activation inhibitor for TC1 protein as an active ingredient, wherein the screening method comprises the steps of: treating all or some of TC1-deleted mice with a test formulation by administration or contact; measuring obesity indicators in a test group of the test formulation-treated TC1-deleted mice and a control group of untreated TC1-deleted mice; comparing the obesity indicators measured in the test group and the control group of TC1-deleted mice; and determining a test formulation which can improve the obesity indicators for a TC1-deleted mouse. The present invention provides a screening method for an anti-obesity agent by using new obesity genotype of a TC1-deleted mouse, and a preventive or therapeutic composition for metabolic diseases. Compared to a wild-type mouse, in a TC1-deleted mouse, shown are characteristic of hyperplastic obesity: weight and fat tissues increase; in particular, proliferation of adipocyte-derived stem cells and differentiation capability into adipocytes are improved; and the number of the adipocytes greatly rises. The TC1-deleted mouse of the present invention, as a new model of obesity, can be usefully utilized in research and development on onset and progression of obesity and discovery of an anti-obesity agent.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
