The present invention relates to a method for providing medical guide information through an electronic chart, an apparatus therefor, and a recording medium recording the same. The present invention provides the medical guide information capable of establishing a treatment plan, and supporting a treatment to a user through the electronic chart. Therefore, a time required for searching information when establishing the treatment plan through the electronic chart can be effectively reduced, and the overall medical quality can be improved. The method for providing the medical guide information through the electronic chart comprises the following steps. The medical guide information providing apparatus receives treatment plan information in the electronic chart through a user interface. The medical guide information providing apparatus extracts at least one key word by analyzing the received treatment plan information. The medical guide information providing apparatus searches guide information which can establish a treatment plan and guide a treatment as information related to the treatment plan information based on the key word. The medical guide information providing apparatus verifies a position of an empty area where the information is not displayed on the electronic chart, and the size of the empty area. The medical guide information providing apparatus determines whether to display the guide information, and determines a display format based on the importance of the guide information according to the verified position and the size of the empty area, and a preset standard. The medical guide information providing apparatus determines a display position to display the guide information of the empty area to group and to provide the guide information according to a category categorized based on a subject and contents of the guide information. And the medical guide information providing apparatus displays the guide information on the electronic chart in response to the determined display format and the display position.
