The present invention is a test method of coated metal using an energy saving reliability test apparatus of coated metal. The specific process comprises: (S10) a position setting step of a specimen; (S20) a step of heating the specimen; (S30) a natural cooling step of a mounting jig; (S40) a step of removing and seating the specimen; (S50) a forced cooling step of an outer circumferential surface of the mounting jig; and (S60) a new specimen positioning step. The test method of the coated metal of the present invention not only saves energy of a flame required for heating, but is able to also measure reliability of inflammability of the coated metal while maintaining a heating temperature and a heating time required for the test.
