A clutch with a helical clutch coil employing an actuator movable in the axial direction. The actuator causes the teaser element to be pulled toward the relatively rotationally moving element to contact the teaser element with the moving element so that the teaser is rotated relative to the remainder of the clutch. One end of the helical clutch coil, which is rotationally connected to the teaser, is also rotated, while the other end of the helical clutch coil is fixed to cause expansion of the helical clutch coil to the inner clutch surface.
