The present invention provides a method for reducing viral activity of a composition comprising a PCV-2 antigen, and an antigenic agent and an immunogenic composition comprising a PCV-2 antigen with reduced viral activity. The invention also relates to a method of increasing the immunogenicity of an immunogenic composition comprising an PCV-2 antigen as well as an immunogenic composition with increased immunogenicity.
