The present invention relates to a carbon-tin oxide-sulfur composite, a preparation method thereof and a positive electrode material for a lithium-sulfur battery. A ladder structure carbon-tin oxide-sulfur composite by a strong chemical bond is manufactured. By using the same, a lithium-sulfur battery inhibits elution of polysulfide and volume expansion of sulfur during charging and discharging, and has excellent lifespan properties and electrochemical performance due to smooth electron transfer.
