FIELD: nanotechnology.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to training visual aids and to scientific devices, intended for visualisation of spatial structure of carbon nanotubes and nanocones. Device for simulating carbon nanotubes and nanocones, comprises a transparent plate and elements, simulating carbon atoms. According to invention, said transparent plate is made from flexible material with possibility of its coiling in a tube or cone, and elements, simulating carbon atoms, are made in said plate round holes of same diameter, wherein said holes form a plurality of parallel rows, grouped in pairs so that in each pair of row centres of any two adjacent holes of one row and nearest holes of other lines are located at vertices of a rectangle, diagonal of latter is twice larger than distance between centres of closest to each other holes of different rows of same pair, and centers of holes of adjacent rows of different pairs are located on lines, distance between which is equal to a quarter of length of said diagonal, centers of holes of any row are located relative to centers of holes of closest row of adjacent pair with shift along line of row by a distance equal to half distance between centres of adjacent holes o same row, furthermore, said device is equipped with at least two detachable retainers to preserve shape of surface, which is formed when coiling said plate into a tube or cone with overlapping different parts of said plate until said round holes align, located in said superimposed different parts of said plate and obtaining a periodic two-dimensional image, formed by aligned holes on cylindrical or conical surface, wherein at least one of said retainers comprises an element to be inserted into two of said matching holes of plate to form an axis to allow mutual rotating around it matched parts of said plate after fitting detachable retainer and before installation of next.EFFECT: technical result is providing easier manufacture and use of device, as well as in ensuring its universality in simulating both carbon nanotubes and carbon nanocones, easy transformability with variation of parameters of simulated carbon nanostructures.15 cl, 21 dwg
