FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to reanimatology. Heparinized plasma is sampled. Plasmasorption with perfusion through hemosorbent is made. Additionally, prior to sorption total bilirubin level is determined in patient. 50–100 ml of 20 % human albumin are introduced. During hemosorbent washing by standard technology prior to plasma sorption prednisolone is additionally introduced to washing solution in amount P, which is determined by formula: P=K0×K2×CPV, where K0=V/CPV – volume coefficient, where V is volume of sorbed plasma (l), CPV is volume of circulating plasma (l), K2=35.4 (nmole/l) – molecular weight of prednisolone sorption fraction in column. Wherein at total bilirubin level less than 250 mcmol/l 0.75 of volume of circulating plasma is taken for sorbed plasma volume (V), at total bilirubin level of 250–600 mcmol/l V is 1.0 CPV, at total bilirubin level more than 600 mcmol/l V is 1.5–2 CPV.;EFFECT: method enables to process high volumes of patients’ plasma and achieve effective reduction of toxic metabolites in jaundice in patients with acute hepatic failure and to stabilize hemodynamics during detoxification in patients with initially low level of glucocorticoid hormones in blood and tendency to hypotension, efficiently prepare patients for operative treatment, reducing length of staying in hospital and minimizing possible postoperative complications.;1 cl, 1 ex
