FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and a method for identification and separate quantitative determination of tannin and gallic acid with combined presence in plant material and phytopreparations without preliminary separation. Proposed method comprises pouring a batch of vegetable raw material with water heated to boiling, boiling with reflux condenser, extraction of filter, without waiting for cooling, into measuring flask, reduced volume of solution, optionally, with water to mark. Further, method includes measuring optical density of filtrate, diluted with a borate buffer solution with pH 9.0, relative to buffer at wavelengths 275±2 nm and 305±2 nm and content of gallic acid and tannin in terms of absolutely dry raw material in percentage.;EFFECT: use of method provides higher accuracy of simultaneous determination of tannin and gallic acid in plant material and phytopreparations.;1 cl, 5 dwg, 3 tbl, 3 ex
