FIELD: biotechnology.;SUBSTANCE: genetic structure contains genes of two fluorescent proteins with distinct fluorescence spectra. Expression of one fluorescent protein gene is activated by stopped translation of the preceding genetically modified Escherichia coli tryptophan operon attenuator. Expression of the second gene is activated by de-repression of the preceding Escherichia coli sulA gene promoter.
