A continuous process for producing trimethylgallium, comprising:a separate feeding of gallium trichloride and of trimethylaluminum in a reaction center, wherein the trimethylaluminum with the gallium trichloride reacts in a suitable solvent, in order to form trimethylgallium, wherein the solvent as a lower volatility, the trimethyl gallium, and wherein both the gallium trichloride, as well as the trimethylaluminum with a controlled rate of addition are fed to the reaction center;Holding the reaction center in the case of a certain temperature, in order to evaporation of the trim ethyl gallium; andCollection of the trim ethyl gallium in the case of a controlled withdrawal.
