The headband and the noseband of a bridle are produced in such a way that the end band in the total length and the nose band are adjustable in the distance between the suspension sling. There are two embodiments of the headband. On the one hand, the front band can be produced in three pieces, namely two loops (ends) and one middle piece. A closure (FIGS. 1, 7, 9, 10), with which the two loops can be buckled, is attached to the two ends of the central piece. Alternatively, the end band can be produced in one piece, but the two ends are not to be sewn. These open ends are then buckled with the buckle attached to the headband (FIG. 1, sections 7, 9, 10). The element to be loosened (loop end, open end of the end band or suspension strap) is provided with several holes which follow each other at small intervals so that the length can be varied during buckling. The nose band is produced in such a way that the upper (1) and lower leather (2) are not continuously sewn, but are provided with one or more open positions (4) at the height of the suspension strap (3). These have at least the width of the suspension strap. Between the open spots, the upper and lower leather are sewn with a few stitches. The suspension strap is threaded in one of the open positions and is folded up and closed into a loop. Chicago screws (5), bridle hooks (6), bridle buckles (7) or other closures possible for horsesport accessories are suitable as buckles.
