The invention relates to an inline sensor arrangement and to a method for starting up an inline sensor arrangement for acquiring measured values of a measured variable representing an analyte content of a measured medium, the inline sensor arrangement comprising a sensor which is designed to generate a measuring signal correlated with the measured variable and outputting, the sensor having at least one sterile sensor element provided for contact with the measurement medium and at least one housing surrounding the sensor element and enclosing the sensor element in a chamber sealed against an environment of the housing, the method comprising the steps of: - performing a heat sterilization of at least one part of the in-line sensor arrangement comprising a housing outside of the housing; - Opening the housing after completion of the heat sterilization; and - bringing the sensor element into contact with the measuring medium.
