The cargo loading system is provided with multiple cargo conveyors each having a roller for conveying items of cargo in a conveying direction, where the rollers are supported on cargo conveyor. A controller receives the signals from sensors to detect a movement of an item of cargo. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a movement of a cargo piece on a cargo deck.
