The work assemblies (3,9,15,16) are controlled by a control device (28). The work assembly (3) is driven by an input unit (31) which communicates with the control device in operative connection with a specific first function (F1) during the harvesting operation. A second function deviating from the first function is allocated to the input unit by the control device as function of operating mode alteration, which is specific for the work assembly in an operating mode deviating from harvest operation. An independent claim is included for self-propelled harvester.
