PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat ray-shielding fine particle having high visible light transmitting property as well as an excellent heat ray-shielding effect and stable weather resistance, a heat ray-shielding fine particle dispersion liquid and a coating liquid for a heat ray-shielding film using the heat ray-shielding fine particle, and a heat ray-shielding film, a heat ray-shielding resin film and a heat ray-shielding fine particle dispersion using the above particles or liquids.SOLUTION: The heat ray-shielding fine particle comprises a calcium lanthanum boride fine particle represented by general formula of CaLaB. The calcium lanthanum boride fine particle has at least one particle shape selected from (1) a shape characterized in that a value Ve of the gradient of a straight line obtained by using an X-ray small angle scattering method satisfies -3.8≤Ve≤-1.5, and (2) a planar cylindrical or spheroidal shape having an aspect ratio d/h satisfying 1.5≤d/h≤20. The present invention also provides a heat ray-shielding fine particle dispersion liquid and a coating liquid for a heat ray-shielding film using the heat ray-shielding fine particle, and a heat ray-shielding film, a heat ray-shielding resin film and a heat ray-shielding fine particle dispersion using the above particles or liquids.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
