PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a word acquisition timing estimation technique that estimates an acquisition timing of a word by an infant from an index of a frequency at which the infant comes into contact with the word.;SOLUTION: A word acquisition timing estimation function generation apparatus includes a word acquisition timing estimation function calculation part 130 calculating a word acquisition timing estimation function for finding a word acquisition timing y at which an infant acquires a word from an index x of a frequency at which the infant comes into contact with the word based on pairs (n=1,...,N) of indices x_n and acquisition timings y_n, where W₁,...,W_N are words acquired by the infant, C is a corpus composed of documents D₁,...,D_M, x_n(n=1,...,N) is the index of the frequency at which the infant comes into contact with the word W_n calculated by using the corpus C, and y_n(n=1,...,N) is the word acquisition timing at which the infant acquired the word W_n.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
