PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurizer for a marine vessel of which arrangement is excellent when the desulfurizer is arranged on a marine vessel such as an ultra-large marine vessel.SOLUTION: A desulfurizer for a marine vessel for desulfurizing an exhaust gas discharged from an exhaust gas generator loaded on a marine vessel comprises: an absorption tower 30 including an absorption tower main body 32 which defines an interior space 31 having a longer direction, and at an end on one side of the longer direction of which an exhaust gas introduction port 32, which is communicated with the interior space, is formed; and an exhaust gas introduction device for introducing the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust gas generator into the absorption tower main body. When a maximum length in the longer direction of the interior space of the absorption tower main body is represented by L, and a maximum width in a shorter direction orthogonal to the longer direction of the interior space of the absorption tower main body is represented by W, a ratio between the maximum width W and the maximum length L (W:L) falls within a range of greater than 1:1.1 and 1:6.0 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
