PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for processing head-forming vegetables in which the liquid exuding from milk ducts is stopped in cutting parts just after cutting stems without increasing a cycle time of work when the head-forming vegetables such as lettuces being planted in fields are harvested, and thereby the occurrence of browning in the cutting parts can be prevented.;SOLUTION: A device 1 for processing head-forming vegetables concerning the present invention is provided for performing the processing to stop the liquid exuding from milk ducts in the cutting parts just after cutting the stems of the head-forming vegetables. The device for processing the head-forming vegetables includes a vehicle body 4 with a power source 2 and capable of traveling, a liquid removal unit 20 provided in a vehicle body 4 and removing the liquid of the cutting parts, and a heating unit 10 provided in a vehicle body 4 and heating the cutting parts where the liquid is removed.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
