PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for rapidly and precisely detecting a target object from an aerial image of a region of interest.SOLUTION: A method for automated object detection from an aerial image includes: a step 220 of obtaining a numerical surface model (DSM) image of a region; a step 240 of obtaining a DSM image of target objects; a step 260 of detecting target objects in the region based on DSM images of the region and a first target object; and a step 290 of obtaining one or more positions of the detected target objects and calculating the number of detected target objects.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
