PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing magnesium nitride powder at a high yield.;SOLUTION: A production method of magnesium nitride powder carries out continuous steps (a) and (b) using a reactor continuously having a heating zone of 1,100°C or higher and 1,500°C or lower at a preceding stage of reaction and another heating zone of 100°C or higher and 800°C or lower at a subsequent stage of reaction. In the step (a), metal magnesium is evaporated while passing the heating zone of 1,100°C or higher and 1,500°C or lower under an argon gas atmosphere. In the step (b), magnesium vapor turns to magnesium nitride powder while passing the heating zone of 100°C or higher and 800°C or lower under an atmosphere of a mixed gas of nitrogen gas and argon gas.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
