PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel distance achievement grasping system for a railway vehicle, which is capable of grasping an accurate travel distance even when a vehicle (formation) travels in a tracking inhibited section.;SOLUTION: This travel distance achievement grasping system comprises a vehicle management device including a process execution control unit which performs steps to determine a travel distance achievement for a vehicle traveling a tracking inhibited section in which tracking by a vehicle tracking system is inhibited, and a branch line branching into a first point and a second point the vehicle returns thereto, is provided with a first line toward the first point used for traveling of business vehicles, while a second line toward the second point used for traveling of forwarding vehicles. The steps comprises: upon determination that a vehicle that started from a station closest to the tracking inhibited section has entered the tracking inhibited section, determining whether the vehicle is a forwarding vehicle; upon determination that the vehicle is not a forwarding vehicle, adding a distance twice longer than a distance to the first point as the travel distance of the vehicle; and upon determination that the vehicle is a forwarding vehicle, adding a distance twice longer than a distance to the second point as the travel distance of the vehicle.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
