PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for manufacturing a sodium ion conductive solid electrolyte, which is inexpensive and efficient and increased in safety; and a precursor and a suspension which are suitable for manufacturing a sodium ion conductive solid electrolyte.SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: hermetically sealing a container in which NaS and PS, and zirconia balls are put in an organic solvent (methyl acetate) of which the number of donors is 2 or more and 18 or less and the SP value is 8 or more and 15 or less; mixing them while applying vibrations thereto at a room temperature under a normal atmospheric pressure; removing the organic solvent from a resulting solid composition (by drying) at the room temperature; and performing a thermal treatment to obtain a sodium ion conductive solid electrolyte. In this way a solid electrolyte can be produced at a normal temperature under an atmospheric pressure with a relatively small external force as compared with a conventional method. In addition, the method enables the increase in work efficiency and yield, and the manufacturing cost can be lowered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
