PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp for joining slabs, a joining device and a joining method, and a continuous hot rolling method and a manufacturing method of a hot rolled steel sheet in which accumulation of molten steel can be prevented at a lower part of the clamp for joining in a continuous hot rolling.SOLUTION: A clamp for joining slabs in a continuous hot rolling comprises: a pair of upper and lower preceding slab support blocks 10a, a pair of upper and lower subsequent slab support blocks 10b which clamp and support slabs 1a, 1b respectively in a thickness direction of the slabs for positioning them; a pair of upper and lower unevenness prevention plates 11, 12 which are connected with the block 10b, include a comb-like shape where a plurality of rod-like members are separately arranged in a width direction of the slab, and come into contact with upper parts and lower parts of the end parts of the slabs 1a, 1b to be joined; and a coolant spraying part 13 which sprays coolant to molten steel 14 from the lower surface side of the slabs heated before joining so as to prevent the molten steel discharged in an upsetting step from dispersing into a member 15 between unevenness prevention plates that is between the adjacent rod-like members in the lower unevenness prevention plate 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
