PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deposition of a molten steel at the lower part of a joining clamp in continuous hot rolling.;SOLUTION: A slab joining clamp in continuous hot rolling comprises: a pair of upper and lower preceding and following slab supporting blocks 10a and 10b positioning the slabs 1a, 1b by pinching and supporting in a slab thickness direction; a pair of upper and lower unevenness prevention plates 11, 12 which are connected to the block 10b, have a comb-like shape in which plural rod-like members are separately arranged in a slab width direction, and contact the upper and lower parts of the end parts of the joining slabs 1a, 1b; and an unevenness prevention plate-cooling part 13 which cools the unevenness prevention plate 12 at least before upset joint by supporting the lower side plate 12 from a lower part to prevent scattering of a molten steel 14 between the rod-like members.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
