PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contract server which is particularly suitable for concluding a contract such as a housing loan contract provided by a financial institute for an individual, compatible with the contracts of a variety of deals, and adapted to conclude an electronic contract using an individual number card.;SOLUTION: In a method for concluding an electronic contract, a contract file in which a manager of a business operator being one party of a contract requests an electronic signature of a customer being the other party of the contract is uploaded onto a contract concluding server in association with a name and an address of the customer shown in a contract document. The customer puts the electronic signature on the contract file using an individual number card and transmits the electronic signature together with an electronic certificate used for putting the electronic signature to the contract concluding server. Then, the contract concluding server performs authentication of the customer by confirming effectiveness of the electronic certificate by referring to a server of a public certification authority, and checking the name and the address recorded on the electric certificate which has been confirmed to be effective with those associated with the contract file.
