PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel analysis method which allows for identifying a sample regardless of a type of the introduced sample when making measurements using a chemical sensor.SOLUTION: A method of identifying a sample comprises: feeding an unknown sample whose amount varies with time as input to a chemical sensor; measuring response of the chemical sensor to the temporal variation; deriving a transfer function of the chemical sensor for the unknown sample based on the input and the response; and identifying the unknown sample based on the transfer function of the chemical sensor for the unknown sample.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
