PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia synthesis catalyst that can allow an efficient ammonia synthesis under a low temperature condition and under a low pressure condition.SOLUTION: Provided is an ammonia synthesis catalyst having a transition metal with ammonia synthesis activity supported on a zeolite particle comprising an aluminosilicate skelton and including a mesoporous structure. The zeolite particle includes a meso-porous structure comprising a micro-pore having an average major diameter of 0.2 to 0.5 nm and a meso-pore having an average major diameter of 4 to 5 nm, and the bulk density preferably is 0.5 to 2.0 g/cm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
