The present invention relates to water-dispersible microcapsules comprising an oil phase, for example a perfume, containing a photosensitive polymer comprising an α-keto acid group or α-ketoester group capable of generating a gas when exposed to light. The gas can cause the microcapsules to stretch or break, allowing the release of the oil phase and thus increasing the long-term persistence of aroma perception. The present invention also relates to the use of said microcapsules in the perfume field, as well as to a perfumed composition or perfumed article comprising the microcapsules of the present invention to provide a prolonged release of fragrance molecules.
