PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee airbag system attached to a glove door and opened or closed as the glove door slides, capable of suppressing the detachment of a glove box and stably protecting a passenger even if a knee airbag deploys while the glove door is opened.SOLUTION: A knee airbag system attached to a glove door, comprises: an outer member 14 provided in an instrument panel 26 and having guide portions 20 provided on respective sidewalls 14B thereof; a box member 16 that is disposed within the outer member 14, that slides and moves along the guide portions 20 relatively to the outer member 14 in a vehicle front-rear direction, and that is constituted integrally with a glove door 12; and an airbag module 18 that is attached to the glove door 12. The box member 16 is connected to the outer member 14 by a connecting member 32 sliding and moving on each guide portion 20, and the connecting member 32 extends outward of each sidewall 14B of the outer member 14 in the vehicle width direction. With this configuration, even if a deployment reaction force of the knee air bag acts on the box member 16, the detachment of the box member 16 from the outer member 14 is suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
