PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visualize the behavior (movement) of Li ions in an all-solid lithium ion battery while charging or discharging.SOLUTION: The stable isotope composition ratio of lithium at a place of a part in a lithium ion battery is differentiated from the composition ratio of natural state. After performing charge and discharge in this state, the Li stable isotope composition ratio at each part in a lithium ion battery is observed by secondary ion mass spectrometry. Consequently, confirmation can be made whether or not the Li ions existing in these parts have migrated from the places of different stable isotope composition ratio of Li, incidentally to charge and discharge.
