The dielectric ceramic composition is formed of a lead-free perovskite compound containing at least Ba, Ca, Ti, and Sb as main components, and has a Curie point Tc of 140 ° C. or higher. Each content of Sb, Ba, and Ca is preferably 0.1 to 5 mole parts, 80 mole parts or more and 15 mole parts or less with respect to 100 mole parts of Ti. This dielectric ceramic composition is manufactured by weighing ceramic raw materials and calcining and synthesizing them, then performing a forming process, and then performing a firing process in a reducing atmosphere. Dielectric layers 6a-6g are formed of this dielectric ceramic composition. As a result, a lead-free dielectric ceramic composition suitable for high-temperature applications having a high Curie point without losing dielectric properties even when fired in a reducing atmosphere, a method for producing the same, and the dielectric ceramic composition were used. Realize multilayer ceramic electronic components such as multilayer ceramic capacitors.
