Provided is a phthalocyanine compound which has excellent light resistance and solubility and is useful as a near infrared ray absorbent. It is found that a phthalocyanine compound having a specific structure has excellent light resistance and solubility. (In the formula, R1 and R2 is the same as or different from each other, and independently represent an alkoxy group which may have a substituent, or the like; X1 and X2 is the same as or different from each other, and independently represent an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; A1 and A2 is the same as or different from each other, and independently represent an aromatic ring which may have a substituent; and M represents two hydrogen atoms, a bivalent metal, or a trivalent or tetravalent metal compound.)
