PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform notification of detection and to stop an ascent of a basket automatically when an obstacle over the basket is detected from the ascending basket.SOLUTION: In a mobile elevated work platform 3 having a basket 2 capable of moving up and down, there are provided: a proximity sensor 4 removably attached to the basket 2; a controller 5 for, when the detected distance between the basket 2 and an obstacle UO over the basket is shorter than a predetermined value, performing control so as to notify an operator and surrounding persons of the proximity; and notification means for notifying the operator that the basket 2 approaches the obstacle UO over the basket according to a signal from the controller. The signal from the controller 5 actuates an emergency stop switch in an operation device 7 and stops an ascent of a lift device 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
