CONTACT SYSTEM OF A POWER COMMUTATOR WITH VACUUM ARC-SUPPRESSION CHAMBER FOR A STEP VOLTAGE REGULATOR

The contact system is applied in a power commutator with two main vacuum arc-suppressing chambers (VAC) and one supplementary VAC per phase. The aim is to alternately to switch on the supplementary VAC and a series-connected to it a resistor parallel with the operating main VAC. The three VACs (7) have carriers (8) through which they are fastened to an insulating disk (5). Two fixed contacts (22) are connected to the main VAC, and the movable contact area is composed of contact segment (18) with contact springs (19) mounted on the beak beads (20) of a carrier (17), mounted via bearings of the actuating shaft (9). The drive mechanism comprises a lever (14) mounted via bearings on an axis (13). The lever (14) has on its short side a tonghold (29) and on its long side - a pin (15), which enters the groove (16) of the carrier (17). On the tonghold (29), at the end of the switch out, acts a pin (11) mounted on a double-arm lever (10) connected to the shaft (9). Thus a small angular rotation of the shaft (9) is converted into a large angular rotation of the movable contact. On the basis of this principle are proposed other variants, implemented in different power commutators. The contact system with drive mechanism is simplified and easy to set up. It is achieved an unification of the spring-energy accumulators of power commutators with VAC and of those with arc-suppression in oil.
