This paper describes biochemical pathways to produce acid, 6 - hydroxy - hexanoico using a monooxigenase to form an intermediate 7 - hidroxioctanoato that can be converted into 6 - hydroxy hexanoateUsing a polypeptide having monooxigenase, secondary alcohol dehydrogenase or activity of esterase.The acid 6 - hydroxy - hexanoico can be converted enzymatically into adipic acid, acid, 6 - amino - hexnoico, hexametilenediamina or 1.6 hexanediol.This paper describes also hosts the recombinant producing acid 6 - hydroxy - hexanoico and adipic acid, caprolactam, 6 - amino - acid hexanoico, hexametilenediamina and 1.6 hexanediol.
