In one aspect, the invention relates to binary compositions that disrupt orc-mediated odor perception. In particular, compounds and compositions are provided which may inhibit sensory functions (e.g., host targeting) in orc receptor expressing organisms such as air insects, for example mosquitoes and ticks.
