The present invention relates to methods for using chaperone protein inhibitors, such as hsp90 inhibitors, in combination with agents that increase proteotoxic stress in tumor cells or agents that induce a biochemical re-chaperone re-uptake. Proteotoxic agents are administered prior to administration of chaperone proteins for synergistic activity.
